SSxx Seismometers
The SSxx sensor series consists of short-period, geophone-based seismometers. Available versions range from fully mechanical electrodynamic transducers to force-feedback sensors incorporating the widely used Lippmann compensation circuit. They are offered with natural frequency options of 0.2, 0.5, 1.0, 2.0, and 4.5 Hz, and are respectively designated as SS02, SS05, SS10, SS20, and SS45. Three different housing options are available: compact, standard, and borehole types.

Housing Options
Different housing configurations are available depending on the sensing element of the geophone used. Borehole / post-hole versions are available. The borehole version can be equipped with a guiding mechanism or borehole locking systems for positioning at the desired depth inside the drill casing. For downhole or marine installations, AISI 316 stainless steel or titanium housings are available upon request.
