Guralp Smart Cable
The SMART Cable System is an innovative submarine cable solution that integrates seismic sensors into seafloor telecommunication cable infrastructure, enabling both communication and real-time seismic monitoring. By demonstrating the deployability of broadband seismometers and accelerometers along the cable route, the system provides a successful example of combining submarine communication infrastructure with seismic monitoring technologies.
