Guralp 3ESPC
Portable, broadband, triaxial weak-motion seismometer.
Guralp 3ESPC is a portable, triaxial broadband seismometer designed for weak-motion measurements. With its field-proven reliable performance, it is an ideal solution for both long-term temporary and permanent installations in areas with low to moderate noise levels.
Thanks to its broadband frequency response and low self-noise level, it provides high-quality and reliable seismic monitoring at local, regional, and teleseismic scales.
Guralp 3ESPC broadband seismometers are widely used devices in the Turkish National Seismic Network.
Main applications:
- Local, regional, and teleseismic monitoring
- National seismic networks
- Permanent volcanic monitoring networks
- Long-term microseismic monitoring
- Rapid temporary deployments for aftershock and volcanic unrest monitoring, etc.
- Designed for low-to-medium noise sites, low-power and portable device
- 60 s – 100 Hz standard frequency response (optional 120 s low-pass corner)
- Covers the entire seismic spectrum with a single transfer function
- Self-noise below USGS NLNM in the range of 30 s – 16 Hz
- High linearity: >107 dB horizontal, 111 dB vertical
- Dynamic range of over 140 dB
- >62 dB cross-axis rejection; vertical sensor axes within ±0.05°
- Robust automatic mass locking, unlocking, and centering system
- Low power consumption of only 750 mW
