Structural Health Monitoring System for Seismically Isolated Buildings

These are structural health monitoring systems installed and commissioned by SENTEZ in accordance with project requirements, with the aim of monitoring modal frequencies, damping ratios, mode shapes, and other dynamic characteristic parameters of seismically isolated hospital buildings under ambient vibrations; tracking isolator behavior in the event of shock effects such as earthquakes; and performing comparative analyses of dynamic characteristic parameters before and after such events.

System:

  • Accelerometers: Uniaxial (1D) - Biaxial (2D) - Triaxial (3D)
  • Digitizers / Recording Units: (24-bit / 3-6-9-12)
  • Software: Data monitoring, configuration, and analysis
  • Time synchronization: GPS or NTP server
  • The system is installed using complementary hardware components.

Optionally:

  • Tiltmeters: Uniaxial (1D) - Biaxial (2D)
  • Displacement sensors: Including LVDT, mechanical, and laser displacement sensors

The SENTEZ structural health monitoring system operates over the building’s network infrastructure; therefore, unlike conventional systems, it does not require long analog cables between sensors and digitizers. This enables the recording of high-quality, noise-free data and ensures high accuracy in structural analyses.

The structural health monitoring system is installed by SENTEZ on a turnkey basis and delivered together with end-user training. During the warranty period, and for all maintenance after the warranty period within the scope of a maintenance agreement, all services are also provided by SENTEZ. Data acquisition, analysis, and reporting services are also part of SENTEZ’s engineering services.
